Care Guide is looking for a QA Software Engineer to test our internal tools and applications, ensuring quality, reliability, and a smooth user experience.

Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- End-to-End Testing: Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Manual & API Testing: Independently perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Analysis: Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
Test Automation
- Script Development: Design and build automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Maintenance & Scaling: Keep automation suites up to date and continuously expand them to improve test coverage and accelerate release cycles.
Defect & Quality Management
- Bug Tracking: Identify, clearly document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools like JIRA. Follow defects through to resolution and verify fixes.
- Process Improvement: Ensure testing follows software standards and best practices. Proactively suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and workflows.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Risk Management: Raise potential risks early, provide quality feedback, and bring creative, solution-oriented ideas to complex testing challenges.
Requirements
Core Experience & Technical Skills
- Experience: Freshers with relevant technical skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–4+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience are also welcome.
- Test Automation: Hands-on experience building test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- API Testing: Solid understanding of API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or REST Assured.
- Defect Management Tools: Familiarity with JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Methodology: Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methods.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills to explain issues clearly to technical and non-technical teams
- Sharp attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality software
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in Advanced SQL or NoSQL querying for database validation
- Experience with performance testing
- ISTQB Certification
